“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91:1
Resting in a shadow!
It depends on what or who is causing the shadow.
It is the Almighty’s shadow.
Terribly large it must be, big enough to encompass me.
How large must the light be behind the Almighty to cast such a shadow?
Can such a light exist?
How could a shadow give me rest except for the knowledge that the Almighty is close by.
If I look closely I can see the outline of his silhouette.
Someday I’ll see Him face to face.
In the mean time, I must learn to trust that his even his shadow can protect me.
