Look is this my problem… pride?
Should you not be pleased if I love you with all my heart and love others?
Certainly isn’t these two commands a life’s aim?
Do I want to be someone important, someone walking around in flowing robes, someone who is greeted in market places as someone recognizable?
But are these people approachable by the common man?
Do I want to be seated at important places of honor?
Greed and pride becomes their lot as you once pointed out.
Rather it was a poor widow you noticed that put more into the Kingdom of God.
Father, may I be satisfied with being in the same company as this widow.
